Artificial Intelligence: Benefits and Concerns Explained

Artificial Intelligence

First of all, the definition of AI has to be explained in simple words, who developed AI, in what form we use it, and what are its advantages or disadvantages that we may have to face in the future.

So let’s come together to know this:

What is AI (Artificial Intelligence)?

Artificial Intelligence has the potential to understand, execute, and understand itself according to the algorithm.

Who is the father of AI(Artificial Intelligence)?

John McCarthy was the father of AI with the team of Alan Turing, Marvin Minsky, Allen Newell, and Herbert A. Simon.Artificial Intelligence: Benefits and Concerns Explained

How we are using it in our daily life?

We are using AI for our needs like online shopping and advertising, education, cyber security, digital personal assistants, web search, health, transportation, cars, etc. We all use AI regularly in our life.

So now the question arises in our mind AI is good or bad? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Advantages of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

1. Correcting Human Errors

AI is programmed in such a way that it blurs the error and corrects it according to the algorithm. If the coding of AI is done exactly right, then it can reduce the mistakes and take it to zero usage.

2. Saving time

AI increases work value for the employee by making work repetitive and helps in focus and this is a better return on invested human capital. It also increases the efficiency of work by increasing the accuracy of work in less time.

3. Zero Risk

AI is zero-risky robots that reduce the risk of humans, they can go into the deep sea, help in defusing bombs, go into space as it is resistant, or live in any environment. It can take responsibility as well as accuracy of work.

4. 24×7 Availability

Humans need to sleep for 5 to 6 hours a day or take breaks in between work but  AI can do their work with accuracy without stopping or getting tired.

5. Fast decision making

Faster decision-making is essential in today’s world where human beings tend to delay decision-making by thinking or understanding whereas AI helps humans in decision-making by analyzing data and looking at past performance and results.

Disadvantages of AI (Artificial Intelligence)

1. Makes Humans lazy

Some bitter truth of AI also has to be accepted that to date when students are using AI tools to complete their homework, and script writing, due to which humans are using less brains with their work, memory is getting badly affected. So humans will become lazy day by day.

2. High cost

In today’s time, making a machine is not a big deal, but making a robot takes a lot of time and money, both the software and hardware of AI need to be scaled up, which is very expensive to do.

3. Unemployment

In the coming time, the work will be done by the robot because the robot can do the work easily without any hindrance and with more accuracy in less time. For example, as robots replace humans in more than half of the jobs in manufacturing factories, unemployment will increase markedly.

4. Emotionless

In childhood, we read that computers and robots do not have feelings. Humans work together as a team and their connection cannot be replaced by a machine.
