“Controversial Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, she failed a gender eligibility test last year 2023 but still competed in a boxing championship as a female contender. In the 66 kg women’s boxing category, she knocked out her Italian opponent in 46 seconds.”
Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni said the fight was “not on an equal footing”.

The International Olympic Committee allowed two boxers, who failed the gender eligibility tests for the World Boxing Championships, to be made eligible to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Last year 2023, the Algerian fighter was disqualified hours before the gold medal match at the Women’s World Championship in Delhi, India.
Algerian media announced that Khalif was eliminated from the high level of testosterone in his Body. IOC spokesman, Mark Adams, said “Everyone competing in the women’s category is complying with competition.
