Top Foods to Avoid on an Empty Stomach for Better Health

Certain foods should not be eaten on an empty stomach as they increase uric acid, burning, and pain in your stomach.

Here is the list of food that should not be eaten on an empty stomach:

1. Citric Fruits 

It increases acid production in your stomach, and it may cause a burning sensation, rashes, and stomach problems 

2. Banana:

It contains magnesium and potassium. Eating bananas on an empty stomach will cause pain in your stomach.

3. Coffee/Tea

Drinking coffee and tea on an empty stomach can increase acid production in your stomach, which can lead to gastritis.                            

4. Curd/Yogurt:

It has a high acid composition. Yogurt contains lactic acid bacteria, (good bacteria) which are ineffective when taken on an empty stomach.

5. Sugar Drinks:

After a long night’s sleep, sugary drinks may not be beneficial for your pancreas.

6. Green Tea

In my experience drinking green tea on an empty stomach can cause dizziness so take some kind of dry fruit before drinking it.                                      

Note: If you have an acidic problem then stop eating some citric fruits as it triggers your uric acid which causes many problems and consult a doctor immediately.
